J&K Scholarship For The Children Of Artisans By The Office of Assistant Director Handicrafts Session 2022-23

J&K Office of Assistant Director Handicrafts Samba Scholarship Notification 2022-23 for the Implementation of Education Scheme for grant of Scholarship to the Wards/Children of artisans for the year 2022-23.

Applications on the prescribed format are invited from the Children of Registered Artisans for grant of Scholarship, notified vide Govt. Order No 80- JK(IND) of 2022 dated 12.05.2022. The payment shall be made on DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) mode to the beneficiary after producing the valid fees receipt duly signed by the Head of School/Institute subject to the following conditions:-

1) Having Below Poverty Line (BPL), PHH, AAY Ration Card or

2) Having Economic Weaker Section ( EWS) certificate or

3) Having income less than Rs 90,000/- per annum with income certificate issued by the Ist class Magistrate/Tehsildar concerned. 

4) Besides, the applicant shall seek NOC from the concerned Zonal Education officer (ZEO) and Tehsil Social Welfare officer(TSWO), that he/she has not availed any benefit under the following Schemes being implemented by these departments:-

a)  Pre-Matric Scholarship.

b)  Post-Matric Scholarship scheme.

c)  Prime Minister’s Scholarship scheme

d)  Any other scheme.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

S. NO. Class Rate of Scholarship to each Student
1. Upto Primary Education Rs 1500 per Student per year for Boys and Girls of weavers/Artisans
2. From 6th to 10th Class Rs 2000 per Student per year for Boys and Girls of weavers/Artisans
3. From 11th to 12th Class Rs 3000 per Student per year for Boys and Girls of weavers/Artisans
4. For Technical/Professional Courses As per the Actual Course fee fixed by Govt


Documents to be attached with the prescribed format are:

1) Domicile certificate 

2) Marks sheet of the previous year

3) Aadhar Card 

4) Bank Passbook

5) Category Certificate if any.

6) Ration Card/EWS certificate / Income certificate.

7) NOC from the concerned Zonal Education Officer and Tehsil Social Welfare Officer.

8) Bonafide Certificate issued by the Head of the school/ institute. 

Interested children of Artisans may submit their application form duly supported by the requisite formalities within one month in the office of the undersigned.
